Munnar 


Munnar is a beautiful hill station situated in Devikulam at Idukki District of Kerala, India. Munnar is located almost 1600 m above sea level. Munnar is one of the most beautiful tourist spot in Kerala. A land of greenery and with cool temperature. Most of area covered by tea plantations.

Surrounding areas are Kurinjimala Sanctuary, Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, Manjampatti valley, Eravikulam National Park, Amaravati Reserve Forest, Anamudi Shola National Park, Pampadum Shola National Park.

The nearest railway stations are Aluva & Ernakulam around 140 kilometers away from Munnar and nearest airport is Cochin International Airport around 105 kilometers away from Munnar.

KOVALAM (കോവളം)

KOVALAM BEACH


Kovalam Beach is located at Thiruvanathapuram District of Kerala in India. Around 16 kilometers away from the City. 

It is a group of three beaches (Lighthouse Beach, Hawah Beach & Samudra Beach) and coastline spreads almost 17 kilometers. It is one of the best beaches in India. Beach is very clean and neat. 

There are lots of beach resorts around Kovalam and many temples, mosque & churches. There are many Ayurvedic Treatment centre and salons for tourists.

Malayattor is situated in Ernakulam District of Kerala in India. Area surrounded by mountain, river and thick forest. Malayattoor is is an important Christian pilgrim centers in Kerala. Malayattor is around 18 kilometers away from Cochin International Airport and Angamaly Railway Station. 

History says that, St. Thomas the apostle of Jesus Christ visisted the place Malayattor.

Athirapilly, Vazhachal are near tourist places of Malayattoor. This attracts tourists from all over the Kerala. Also the international shrine of Malayattoor welcomes a huge number of pilgrims. Months of March, April & May are the main  seasons for pilgrims. There are lot of scenic places nearby for tourist.

GAVI

Gavi is a village in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala, India. It is located 28 km southwest of Vandiperiyar, a town in Idukki on N.H 220, the highway connecting Kollam and Madurai.
Getting there[edit]
Gavi is 28 km south west of Vandiperiyar, 14 km from Kumily, near Thekkady.Gavi is inside the ranni reserve forest. Gavi is a part of Seethathode Panchayath in Ranni Taluk. Gavi is part of the Periyar Tiger reserve, and the route can be covered by car from Vandiperiyar. The entrance fee is 25 rupees per person and 50 rupees per vehicle. Cameras are 25 rupees and video cameras are charged 100 rupees. Both day and night stays are available. Forest tent camping is available from November through March. Its been said that most enjoyable route to Gavi is the way from Pathanamthitta. The rough journey to Gavi may better be made on a sturdy vehicle like jeep which are available on hire either from Vandiperiyar or from Kumily. Entry passes must be obtained from the Forest Check Post en route at Vallakkadavu. Advance booking with the Kerala Forest Development Corporation Ltd. is highly appreciable wherein such formalities will be taken care of by the Company itself.

Botanists have confirmed that "Gopher Trees" can be seen in Gavi. In Gavi's forest area,there are two Gopher trees and they are believed to be the only two gopher trees in India. The tree, which is identified as 'gopher', is known as 'Nirampalli'. Gopher wood or gopherwood is a term used once in the Bible.

The tree standing at Gavi forest is of robust stem and lush foliage. According to state Forest Department officials, though the fully-grown gopher in Gavi is the only such tree sighted in the periphery of the jungle, possibly there could be more such trees still surviving in the inner forests of Periyar Tiger Reserve (PTR) in Kerala.
The Gavi is connected by following road: - Chittar - Seethathodu - Angamoozhy - Moozhiyar - Kakki Reservoir - Anathode Dam - Pamba Reservoir - Kochu Pamba - Gavi - Pachakanam - Periyar National Park - Kozhikanam - Vandiperiyar

There is a demand for another road connecting Gavi with Chalakayam near Sabarimala. - Chalakayam - Kochu Pamba - Gavi

Regular buses are available to Vandiperiyar from Kottayam, Kochi & Thiruvananthapuram. A small bus rattles even up to Gavi from Vandiperiyar. KSRTC service is available both from Kumaly and Pathanamthitta(Pathanamthitta-Perunad-Muzhiyar-Kakki-Gavi-Kumily bus route from chengannur-pathanamthitta-Perunad-Muzhiyar-Kakki-Gavi(direct buses not available) KSRTC is operating an Ordinary Bus from Pathanamthitta to Kumali via Gavi and vice versa. Gavi's evergreen forests are abundant with wildlife including the Tiger, elephants, Leopards, Bears, Indian Gaur, sambar, barking and mouse deers, Lion Tailed Macaque, Nilgiri Marten and more than 250 species of birds.

Climate

Summer: February–April, daytime temperatures up to 28 C. but can drop to 20 degree C at night. Monsoon: June - August, daytime temperatures up to 25 C but can drop to 10 degree C at night.

Casual, lightweight, comfortable, light coloured cotton clothing. Warm clothing may be required at night
