THRISSUR POORAM(തൃശ്ശൂര്‍ പൂരം)

Thrissur Pooram

Thrissur Pooram is one of the popular and colourful festival held at famous Vadakkunnatha Temple of Thrissur District at Kerala, India. Temple is situated in the Thrissur town itself. Lots of people from all over the world visit during the Pooram festival and celebrate and enjoy the colourful festival without any religious barriers.

The Pooram celebrations begins seven days before main Pooram. It starts with the ceremonial flag hoisting (kodiyettam) by different participating temples.

Main attractions of Pooram are the golden elephant caparison (Nettipattam), elephant accouterments (Chamayam), ornamental fan made of peacock feathers (Aalavattam), Royal fan (Venchamarom), sacred bells and decorative umbrellas, Chenda Melam & fire works.

BHARANANGANAM

Bharananganam


Bharananganam is on of the good pilgrim center in Kottayam District of Kerala, India. Bharananganam is famous due to St. Alphonsa's tomb. Bharananganam covered with natural beauty due to hill areas.

Other major attractions are  Sree Krishna Swami Temple & Assisi Asram. Bharananganam is 32 kilometers away from Kottayam Railway Station and around 75 kilometers away from Cochin International Airport.

MUNNAR (മുന്നാർ)

Munnar 


Munnar is a beautiful hill station situated in Devikulam at Idukki District of Kerala, India. Munnar is located almost 1600 m above sea level. Munnar is one of the most beautiful tourist spot in Kerala. A land of greenery and with cool temperature. Most of area covered by tea plantations.

Surrounding areas are Kurinjimala Sanctuary, Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, Manjampatti valley, Eravikulam National Park, Amaravati Reserve Forest, Anamudi Shola National Park, Pampadum Shola National Park.

The nearest railway stations are Aluva & Ernakulam around 140 kilometers away from Munnar and nearest airport is Cochin International Airport around 105 kilometers away from Munnar.

KOVALAM (കോവളം)

KOVALAM BEACH


Kovalam Beach is located at Thiruvanathapuram District of Kerala in India. Around 16 kilometers away from the City. 

It is a group of three beaches (Lighthouse Beach, Hawah Beach & Samudra Beach) and coastline spreads almost 17 kilometers. It is one of the best beaches in India. Beach is very clean and neat. 

There are lots of beach resorts around Kovalam and many temples, mosque & churches. There are many Ayurvedic Treatment centre and salons for tourists.

MALAYATTOOR (മലയാറ്റൂര്‍)

Malayattor 


Malayattor is situated in Ernakulam District of Kerala in India. Area surrounded by mountain, river and thick forest. Malayattoor is is an important Christian pilgrim centers in Kerala. Malayattor is around 18 kilometers away from Cochin International Airport and Angamaly Railway Station. 

History says that, St. Thomas the apostle of Jesus Christ visisted the place Malayattor.

Athirapilly, Vazhachal are near tourist places of Malayattoor. This attracts tourists from all over the Kerala. Also the international shrine of Malayattoor welcomes a huge number of pilgrims. Months of March, April & May are the main  seasons for pilgrims. There are lot of scenic places nearby for tourist.
